Upcoming Events: 

Water Festival at SDSU – Tuesday, May 15th – Ava’s mom is coming along as our chaperone.   

DeSmet Study Trip – Thursday, May 17 – Mrs. Stoltenberg will be gone this day, but Mrs. Ting will be my substitute and go to DeSmet with the students.  We also have Marco’s mom, Claire’s mom, and Kiana’s mom coming along as chaperones.  J

AR Points Due By Friday, May 18th

Track & Field Day – Afternoon Only – Monday, May 21stNew Start Time 12:00pm  

AR Celebration – Wednesday, May 23rd for students who earned a total of 20 points 3rd and 4th nine weeks.  J  20 points total are due by Friday, May 18th. 

Last Day of School for Students – Thursday May 24th – Noon Dismissal

Language: Weekly Language Review Week #13 and Memory Books - Mrs. Stoltenberg

 

Science:  On Monday, we will be presenting our Predator vs. Prey final project to the class.  Tuesday, we are gone to the Water Festival at SDSU.  On Wednesday, we will be watching a video about Laura Ingalls Wilder before going to her homestead on Thursday.  Thursday, we go to DeSmet to visit the Laura Ingalls Wilder Homestead.  On Friday, we will be watching a video about the top ten smartest animals in the world to end our animal unit.     Have a great week!  - Mrs. Stoltenberg

 

 

· Tech We are down to our final days of meeting for Technology. Students are working very hard to complete their Online Safety projects. They have a variety of resources they can pick from to present their content. Some are interviewing students and staff and creating Flipgrid videos, others are writing and performing short skits, some have chosen to do a video presentation such as PowerPoint or Adobe Spark. The projects are coming together really nicely, and students have really enjoyed creating them. We will use our final tech days, next Monday & Tuesday, to present. -Mrs. Palmer

 

· Math:    Continue to practice your multiplication facts.  The final math log will be due on Monday, May 21st.  Parents please don’t forget to sign the final document and record the minutes on each day your child practices their facts.  - M. Stolt

 

· Spelling:  We are done with spelling and vocabulary for this school year!  J    

· Reminders:

* If your student has homework in a subject, he/she should have this written in his/her planner, it should be highlighted or circled, and the work should be on the Return to School side of folder.  The planner should be initialed each night when work is completed.  Late work can turn into after school detention if your child gets too many late assignments.

 

* Work hard to get those 10 AR points for this last quarter for reading class! 

 

*Remember, you need 20 AR points total for 3rd and 4th quarters together to attend the AR Celebration on Wednesday, May 23rd!  Work hard to get those 20 points by Friday, May 18th!  J
